A Sydney Morning Herald article has outlined the potential health and doping risks from synthetic amphetamines found in supplements containing the ingredient acacia rigidula.

The article links to US research which shows that the banned stimulant β-methylphenylethylamine (BMPEA) appeared in more than 50% of supplements tested which had included acacia rigidula as an ingredient.
