The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has published the 2016 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods (the List), which will come into effect on 1 January 2016.
The List specifies the substances and methods prohibited in sport. The List reflects the latest scientific and medical advances and was finalised after a consultative process facilitated by WADA.
More information about the List and anti-doping in general can be found on our website.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that some medications contain prohibited substances and it is every athlete’s responsibility to check the status of any medication prior to use. You can use the Check Your Substances tool on the ASADA website to find out the status of Australian medications. Check your Substances will be updated to reflect the 2016 changes in December.
