The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has published the 2018 Prohibited List (the List), which will come into effect on 1 January 2018.
The Prohibited List specifies the substances and methods prohibited in sport and reflects the latest scientific and medical advances. Information about major modifications to the list and additions to the monitoring program are also available via the WADA website.
As athletes are solely responsible for all substances in their body, it is important that you are aware of any upcoming changes to the List.
We remind you that some medications contain prohibited substances and it is every athlete’s responsibility to check the status of any medication prior to use. You can use the Check Your Substances (Global DRO) tool on the ASADA website to find out the status of Australian medications. Check your Substances will be updated in 2018 when the changes come into effect.
